Alright now I will show you where to turn to get to the super market so we can get some fresh, unfroze chicken.

You know not everybody needs your full trust right off you know that right? You either know or you don't know and most times I guarantee you, you know. You don't wanna believe. You wanna trust and believe that this person or them people that is out there in your life is all about you and what is best for you.
But all the time the signs be there just blinking like a Christmas tree and we don't wanna believe them. We want to trust the part of yourself that says that everybody is like you. No one has no hidden thoughts about what they really want from you. They honest and true from the beginning just like you. That ain't always so.
So you have to watch the signs baby just like that one right there that say stop. You can't miss that can you? You see that sign and you did the right thing. You stopped right here and now you got to decide which way to turn. Now that decision that you make to go left or right once you stop is gonna give you time to do what is best for you. Not for the other person who has ideas on you already.
Since we at the stop sign honey just turn left right here and head on down the road here it will take you right on to the super market so we can get what we coming for and go on back.
Now when you see them signs don't be scared of them, just know that you have to heed to em real good they are there to protect you at all times nothin' more. They alert you or they tell you yes you can go on.
Take heed to all the signs and you gonna know them cause they either gonna make you feel good or make you feel bad now ain't that easy?
If it make you feel bad that'a sign honey make a change....if it make you feel good then hey do more of that.
Listen and see the signs just like that one right there honey before we turn in here........yield.....yeah slow down and while you slowin down pay attention that way you won't fall as much. Now I didn't say that you won't cause you will but if you slow down pay attention to the signs that you are given one thing is for sure you will get out of that storm a whole lot faster baby. Now lets get some of that good, fresh chicken so I can get to fryin'.

There was a time when a man and a woman had sense. Least they acted like they did you know? Back in my day when I was comin up there was the notion that if a man courted you, that's what he done, he courted you. Wasn't no in between where you was doing stuff you had no business cause there was plenty of them kinda gals round town that had been doin stuff they had no business doin and now they business was in front of em like big ole knots and them knots come up to be babies and then kids. Most times them gals back in my day didn't have no husband to speak of neither cause that fella she had that baby for was gone on to the next hot tail gal. They just had to make do with what they had with the choice they made to do stuff they didn't have no business doin'.
Baby I don't have but one kinda of Kool-aid honey and that's red so just go on and get that sugar over there and put some off up in that big pitcher of there. No not that green one I used that for my flowers only use that big gray one next to it.
I think I'm going to get out some chicken just fry that.
Like I was saying though, yes honey there was time it was alright to call on a woman and spend some time with her. It really was. And it was nice to be able to get dressed and make the young man wait on you til you got ready in the back of your mamma's house. Oooh Lord I remember that so well. Henry would be on the front porch with my Daddy and he be so scared to step foot the wrong way or even set down next to my Daddy. And I was all of sixteen back then. Them was some good days they really was. Henry would come and see me and he would come and stand out there on the porch for me. My Mamma wouldn't even come out there she would stay in the kitchen and peep out the side window see if she could hear or something. I would be in the back trying to grease my old ashy legs up with some of that fat left from breakfast. Wasn't no such thing as no lotion for just regular days that was for Sundays and weddings stuff like that.
I be so happy to see Henry too. We go walking or sitting on the porch with my Daddy. Daddy didn't want me goin too far with him. He always used to say "A man want something and what want he knows and he determined to get it, he ain't no man yet so since he don't know and I ain't finna help him help hisself to a few minutes wit my chile til he figure it out" So Daddy watched us all the time til I turned seventeen.
Ole Henry he kept on coming too and I kept wantin to see him all the time. Be missin him bad when he would be gone a week or two working on the railroad and working learnin how to drive that dozer.
Young people now days they don't wanna wait for nothin' they just keep right on doing what they wanna do with no thought, no waitin no nothin. They just go, for right for it cause it look good and it feel good and they be burnin to cool each other off. I mean I know you shocked and all that to hear me say that but I been young once too and I know what it feel like to want to be doin stuff with somebody you really like. I know. But then some of yall don't know when to draw the line. Yall just keep on going and going and keep on letting them young mens just keep on coming over and coming over and he ain't bringing nothing but his three legs with him. Two of which when he done he gonna get up and walk away from you with cause you didn't make him come see you, come court you.
So when he start coming when he feel like using his three legs and just come see you at night, don't wanna take you out to no movie or see his family, don't be surprised cause you didn't set no rules in the beginning. You let him set the rules. So don't be mad at him cause he doing what you told him was alright to do to you even without saying the words. Cause you wanted to feel good for a moment. I know you be lonely, I know you be wantin somebody to hold you at night. Who don't want that in they life? But if you looking for a quick fix it's a bunch of folk out there willing to come and help you for a few minutes but are they willing to stick around for a lifetime?
The only way you gonna find that out is to set some rules when you meet somebody. Make sure that you know who they are cause honey let me tell you somethin', and hear me well, " a man can hold his breath but for so long, but soon he gone have to exhale and breathe again". You remember that.
Cause he gonna do all he can do in the first six months to reel you in. So don't let your guard down. Then some so good at it they will hold they breath for years then you really get to see who they are.
So just get to know somebody. Let him take you out show you a nice time, make sure he meet your friends and family and you meet his friends and family. Make sure he ain't scared to do nothing with you in public with the lights on in the day time. Make sure if you need him he know how to do something for you or knows someone who can. And you be a lady and stay that way. Don't be easy. Cause as easy as it is to get you, it will be easy to toss you and move on to someone and something else.
Lord this chicken is froze solid....you gone have to take me to the store in town and let me get some fresh chicken. You ain't scared to drive me now is you?

Looks like this is gonna be a real good meal here. I was thinking maybe some fried chicken or smothered pork chops in gravy would be good with this. Maybe some hot water corn bread too. When was the last time you had some of that I mean you look a lil pale over there baby. I don't mean no harm but sometimes you need to not eat that microwave stuff all the time. It just ain't for you and it ain't good for you either. Specially if you don't know how to say half the stuff on the back of the box it come in why in the world would you want that mess in your body at all?
Well that is just how I feel about it cause when the cooking in that box is done you open that door and the stuff is all like chewing on tree bark. Ain't no flavor, ain't no love in the food at all it's just there to fill you up and make you hungry but you never git satisfied, lord what is that really about?
That's the same way that it is with folks and life you know?
That's what wrong with folks now we always looking for something that we don't have to work hard for. Then we wonder why it don't work or it fall apart. I don't understand. I mean when I was young and comin' up to be grown we had to work hard at everything. We had to work at the jobs we had, in buildin' a home, a family, work hard at keeping a marriage together hell just  life I mean anything.
You people now in these times yall want it to be instant. You don't think you should have to deal with nothing, you think you should never hurt or feel no pain. You think you special like that and that all that mess on TV yall should be livin yourself. Life aint lived in thirty minutes, it just keep on goin whether we want it to or not.
Well honey that just ain't the truth no way no how.
Anything that you want baby you gonna have to get in that kitchen and make it happen with work. It aint gonna come no other way than that way if it's gonna last. I don't care what anybody tell you, or if you don't like the way I tell you things, but I didn't come to make you feel good bout your mess, I came to tell you that life is life. Yours that you living and you need to fix the mess.
Stop thinking that what you want is just gonna show up on your front doorstep without you having to work for it.
Things ain't gonna come knocking on your door, they not gonna call you on your cell phone, and they not gonna be sending you no mail. You gonna have to go out there and get it. You gonna have to get up and work at it everyday.
I don't care what it is either.
No good marriage happened overnight, no good business happened overnight, nothing worth holding on to happened by blinking your eyes.
If you want something you gonna have to feel the pain of giving life to your dreams.
You think you can do that? I had to do it so now I know YOU can.

I'm so glad you decided to stay. You know I really like company. I loves to cook extra so people can get full. You know you never know if people is gettin enough of what they need. I just want to try and give folks enough.
My goodness it looks like it's gonna be one of them cold days like back when I was chile and my mamma and daddy only had that two room shack where we all slept in one bed in the room and mamma and daddy slept in the front. I don't miss them days at all I swear I don't. You young people don't have a clue as to what you all are really blessed with in this life. We didn't have what y'all call installa... no no insulation right? Well we didn't have it and we didn't have running water. It would be so cold.
I know you probably wondering why I'm just goin' on and on and I'm just thinking back to when the times called for simple things and what it is was what it was. No more than that.
You know what really it's still like that now ain't nothing changed. You not doing them stems on them greens right baby you gonna have to pull harder on that part at that bottom so we not chewing for days on that part. Here lemme show you.
Well like I was sayin'..now days folks believing all that they see in folks rather than just believing more in what folks do.
I mean if a person is looking and smiling and being real friendly, but they got all kinds of mess going on in they life and its falling all around them then what you gonna believe? If someone tells you something don't believe it, you gotta see it in they actions all the time cause folks can tell you anything that don't mean nothin at all.
I mean I hear folks say how they gonna do this or that at the church all the time. Sista Florine always gonna bake a extra 7UP cake just for the pastor. Shoot that be every Sunday for forty years she been bakin that cake. Hell I don't believe no more than the pastor do but he smile and tell her how he looking forward to eatin that cake with a tall glass of milk next week when she brings him his cake.
Speakin of cake do you know how to bake at all baby? Cause I wouldn't mind showing you a thing or two on how to make you wanna slap somebody it would be so good.
But you see what I mean honey? You can't believe what people say, you gotta believe what they do, cause what they do is who they are all the time. It's gonna match every time just like a mirror ain't gonna be no way to hide from it either.
So you be on the look out for what folks do. Not what they say you hear?

This the truth right here. Nothing more than that will you ever get here on this page. I always wanted to tell the truth and always have pretty much 'ceptin' that I'm a bit older and felt like I just needed to talk more about what I believe to be the truth and nothin' but to all of y'all.
